This guitar is AWESOME!

Even better in person than in the pics. Plays nice and sounds good (like a real old Strat) Great old color and the best relic-ing I've ever seen on a "new" Fender. I play a lot of old vintage Strats and just wanted a "new" guitar for a change. A nice guitar to bring out of the house without worrying.
No need to even worry about putting any scratches or dings on it...

The CGP has arrived safe and sound! There was a heavy rainstorm headed this way, and around 8 AM I arrived at the side-door to the UPS terminal in the rain to pick it up. Some of my friends work there, including a drummer who shouted across the terminal to me. There was no damage to the box or the guitar. The temperature was 60 degrees and the box, case, and guitar felt 'room temperature' so I went ahead and played it tuned-down for awhile. I just now brought it up to standard tune and it played it acoustically. It's a beauty, lighter than the Country Gentleman, smaller body but thicker, short scale, plays smooth, and sounds acoustically very pleasing. I will try it with an amp later. I am lucky to get in on this original limited order of 75, and you made it possible.

I appreciate the extra case candy..strings, Gretsch key chain, HR calendar, etc. I'll keep the '52 Tele in mind..and who knows the Merle Haggard Tele, but first my dentist says I need a crown in January '09..oh well, that's required maintenance.

I appreciate the discount. It has been a pleasure doing business with you, and I will be recommending you to my friends.

got it! yesterday, actually. it was a very mild day yesterday here, as today, but i still waited a few hours before i opening it.

anyway, great freakin' guitar! definitely one of the best buys you can get from fender, IMO, (nitro finish, unique features, great tone, top- notch playability, really outstanding). i'm surprised these aren't going for a bit more actually, like $2000, or something!
